George Gordon's Activities in the Community
George Gordon has served as Master of Ceremonies at many major events, including the 2008 Surrey Board of Trade International Business Awards, the 2004 and 2005 Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life, Cops for Cancer (2004-05), Vancouver's Most Powerful Women Awards (2004), Surrey Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards (2002) and the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Awards (2002)and again in November 2006.
Here are some recent highlights from George's community work:

George Gordon has been involved with many community events with the Canadian Cancer Society, Big Brothers, SOS Children's Village just to name a few. He is pictured here with Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts at an event in Vancouver.
George Gordon is pictured with former News1130 co host Dianne Newman at the 2008 Climb the Wall for Clean Air. The annual fundraiser for the BC Lung Association has grown steadily and is staged at the Sheraton Wall Centre each winter in downtown Vancouver. Oh yes, George took part every year as an MC and a climber. It's 48 floors of climbing and hundreds come out with their pledges including a growing contingent of firefighters who scale the stairs in full gear.
